Moose Blood – Blush

If there’s one album that’s quickly nudged its way into my heart it’s Moose Blood’s Blush, released last August. Moose Blood formed back in 2012 and since then has consistently been putting out amazing emo (YES FRIENDS! IT ISN’T DEAD!!) music. There’s something utterly captivating about the way Moose Blood presents themselves – brutally honest, with strong melodic lines and catchy hooks that you just can’t seem to get out of your head. Blush is no exception, showcasing the band’s ability to capture a wide range of emotions, from upbeat tunes like “Blush”,  “Knuckles” and “Honey”, as well as more subdued tracks like “Shimmer” and “Spring”. The whole album is a joy to listen to and by the end of it I always have a desire to become best buds with Moose Blood, joining them in their shenanigans and late-night conversations. Alas, I shall let my dreams be dreams…

Highlights: Knuckles, Honey, Spring
